Cooking Club

Cooking Club

Cooking club takes place each week and is all about igniting children’s passion for cooking healthy, simple meals.  They have been learning lots of practical skills including; dicing, slicing, whisking, kneading and most importantly tasting new flavours and textures. This helps with their physical skills, building their confidence and learning to work as a team. It also enables them to adopt healthier habits in the future, both at home and school. The children get to take home their own recipe book at the end of their course containing all recipes they have cooked!

Some of the meals we have made so far are tomato soup and cheese scones, chicken curry with flat breads, spaghetti and meatballs, berry trifle and apple and raspberry crumble. We finished the term with a magnificent tea party with sandwiches, cakes and scones that were delivered around the school!
