Applying for a Place at Heamoor School

We warmly invite prospective families to get in touch with our school office by phone or email to arrange a visit. We would be delighted to welcome you for a tour, where you can experience first-hand the nurturing environment, inclusive ethos, and high-quality support we offer every child.

Children may begin Reception in the September following their fourth birthday. 

Applications for school places must be made online via Cornwall Council. Places are allocated by the Local Authority in line with the criteria outlined in our Admissions Policy — including whether you live within Heamoor’s designated area and whether your child has siblings already attending the school.

Transfer to Secondary School

When your child reaches Year 6, Cornwall Council will provide a booklet explaining how to apply for a place at your chosen secondary school. This will include key dates, guidance, and information to support your decision. 

We work closely with local secondary schools to support a smooth transition and help children become familiar with the settings, staff, and routines they’ll encounter
