Sports Premium
The Sports Premium funding allows us to strengthen and enrich the quality of PE and sport across our school.
This page explains how we use the funding to improve provision, increase opportunities for all pupils and promote healthy, active lifestyles. You will also find our statutory annual Sports Premium reporting records.
The Sports Premium is allocated annually by the Department for Education to all primary schools, based on a formula that includes a core amount per school plus an additional amount per eligible pupil.
Funding must be used in line with the national conditions of grant, which require schools to:
- Develop or add to the PE, sport and physical activity provision they already offer
- Build capacity and capability within the school so that improvements are sustainable
- Increase participation in PE and sport for all pupils
- Promote physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle
- Raise the profile of PE and sport across the school as a tool for whole‑school improvement
This information must be available on our website by 31 July each year, ensuring transparency for parents, governors and the wider community.
For the 2024/25 academic year, Heamoor School received £17,670 in Sports Premium funding.
