Charity Work

Our Commitment to Charity Work

At Heamoor, we believe in nurturing compassionate and socially responsible individuals. Engaging in local and national charity work is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy. By participating in these initiatives, we aim to:

  1. Instill Values of Empathy and Kindness: We teach our children the importance of helping others and understanding diverse needs within our community and beyond.
  2. Enhance Learning Experiences: Charity work provides practical opportunities for our children to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world contexts, fostering a deeper understanding of societal issues.
  3. Build Strong Community Connections: Collaborating with local and national organisations strengthens our ties with the community, creating a supportive network that benefits everyone.
  4. Promote Inclusivity and Diversity: Through charity work, our children learn to appreciate and respect different cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives, promoting a more inclusive environment.
  5. Develop Lifelong Skills: Volunteering and participating in charity events help our children develop essential skills such as teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving, preparing them for future challenges.

By engaging in charity work, we not only meet the needs of our children but also contribute positively to society, fostering a generation of thoughtful, proactive, and caring individuals.

MacMillan Coffee Morning
Harvest Food Bank Donations to Heamoor School Community Cupboard 2025

Thank you everyone for all of your donations for our harvest 'food-raising.' We were joined by Ralph Ward and Mr Hinchliffe on Tuesday morning who entertained us with stories and songs to the theme of Harvest. We created a rainbow of your donations in assembly which looked great.

Our Community Cupboard is now fully stocked so please come along and help yourself to what you need. You will find it in our Reception area near to the office. Bags are available in the drawers. Special thanks to Millie and Enya in Indigo Class who manage stock rotation and helped to co-ordinate, collect and organise all of your donations.
