At Heamoor, we offer a fantastic range of Lunchtime and After School Clubs.
Our School Council plays an important role by gathering thoughts and ideas from children across the school about the kinds of activities they’d enjoy. Our staff are always happy to listen and go the extra mile to make these requests a reality.
We’re proud to offer a wide variety of clubs—both on-site and off-site—that give children the chance to try new experiences they might not otherwise have access to. From creative arts and sports to outdoor adventures, there’s something for everyone.
Here at Heamoor, we’re having so much fun discovering new interests, building friendships, and making memories that will last a lifetime!
Gig Club with Mrs Osborne and Mrs Flynn
Our Year 5 and Year 6 children have been enjoying learning to row a Cornish pilot gig with Cape Cornwall Gig Club after school on a Wednesday evening. They have been learning how to manage the very heavy oars and row in time whilst listening carefully to the calls from the cox Mrs Osborne.
Hockey Club with Mrs Griffiths
Our hockey club is for all abilities, to teach the core skills of the game. We train once a week with a mixture of years 4-6, we run through some of the skills needed and then always finish with a competitive game or shoot out. As the children move through the school we are hopeful they will be looking forward to playing in the Primary League at Penzance Hockey Club. We attended for the first time this year and finished 4th in our division!
Football Club with Mr McGarry
Our Year 1 and 2 Football Club provides our children with a chance to be active whilst developing a love for football. All of our sessions are based around fun and enjoyment as the children play a range of exciting games whilst developing their football skills. The children will develop their ball control, passing, dribbling and shooting, whilst also improving their balance, coordination, awareness and agility. This club also creates a culture that football is for everyone as it is open to boys and girls. The children have really taken this ethos on board and enjoy celebrating the achievements of all of their peers. The children have really enjoyed attending our football club and our numbers continue to grow.

Our exciting Scooter Club is open to children in both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Each session begins with a warm up and a cruise around the playground. We then practice and perform fun scooter tricks, demonstrating our skills to our peers, learning and teaching new moves and build confidence on our scooters. We then finish with some fun games that improve listening, coordination, and scooter control. This club allows children to make new friends across key stages and to form new friendships, while having fun.
