Catch-up Plan

Catch-Up Funding

Following the nationwide closure of schools, the government announced a £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after the school closures. This is especially important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds.
Each school have been allocated a 'catch-up premium' to utilise within their school to target

Funding allocation

School allocations will be calculated on a per pupil basis, as a mainstream school we have been allocated £80 for each pupil totalling £14, 240.

Use of the fund

Schools have been directed to use this funding for specific activities to support their pupils to catch up for lost teaching over the previous months, in line with the curriculum expectations for the next academic year. While schools can use their funding in a way that suits their cohort and circumstances, we are expected to use this funding for specific activities which will help pupils catch up on missed education.

Below is the plan for our school which details how we will utilise this funding and the areas we will target along with the expected outcomes.
